Dr. Lauretta Rubino, Chief Executive Officer

Lauretta holds a degree in Mechanical engineering from University of Rome Tor Vergata (1996), a Master of Applied Science from University of Toronto (1999) and a Ph.D. in Mechanical engineering from Imperial College London (2003).
She has over 20 years’ work experience in the field of aftertreatment systems, R&D, PN emissions measurements with focus on nanoparticle emissions, PEMS and emissions legislation. She worked as Research Assistant at University of Toronto and Imperial College, as Development Engineer at Johnson Matthey, UK (2003-2005) as Scientific officer at European Commission JRC (2005-2008) as Corporate Scientist at Sensors (2009-2011) as System Engineer at Corning (2011-2013) as Lead Technical Expert Aftertreatment Systems (2013-2017) at GM/Opel & PSA Group (2017-2012) and Senior System Engineer (2021-2022) at Stellantis/Opel. Several years of experience as external expert to the EU commission and proposal evaluator (HORIZON).
Currently (from Sept. 2022) she is CEO of the VERT Association based in Switzerland. She is also founder and CEO of “LR Consulting” environmental solutions for a sustainable future.

Ralph Wilce, Business Development Director
Ralph Wilce has a passion for understanding cleaner air and ways of achieving it. With a background in vehicle, non-road, industrial emission testing and air quality monitoring, Ralph understands the urgency of identifying and eliminating high polluting diesel and petrol vehicles as a key to fast and low-cost road air quality improvement.
As an active member of the international NPTI working group, ASA (DE)/ GEA (UK) & EGEA in Brussels, and as the Chair of the Air Monitoring Working Group at the Westminster Commission for Road Air Quality, Ralph is contributing to the process of increasing awareness and providing justifications for stricter PTI emission testing.
Born British in The Netherlands, Ralph was educated in the UK. After graduating from London Metropolitan University with a first-class honour's degree in Contemporary European Studies and fluency in Dutch, German and English, Ralph has built a successful career in international business development based in the UK and overseas and is founder and director of Wijs-Air based in the Netherlands.

Projects within VERT® provide answers and new impetus to address future technological challenges.
Thus, VERT® contributes to the high regard in which European engine and exhaust aftertreatment system manufacturers are held, which makes us the preferred contact for international legislators.
VERT® as consultant for air quality and improvement
VERT is the competent preferred partner of public authorities, municipalities, megacities and institutions of European and international legislature in the realization of concrete solutions for air quality improvement.
As such VERT® has significant influence on the introduction and use of BAT for the reduction of emissions.
